It's Monday! What are you reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. Jen Vincent over at Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee Moye from Unleashing Readers decided to put a children's and YA spin on it and they invite anyone with an interest to join in. You can participate by creating your post then visit one of their sites to add your site. Finally, visit at least three participant blogs and comment to spread the love.

The Past Week:
All of these are books I would recommend. My favorites were Wild Things, Relish, Meet Danitra Brown, and Becoming Naomi Leon, but I really enjoyed all of them.
The Coming Week:
I am almost finished with the audio of Traveling with Pomegranates. I just started the ARC of Kiss Kill Vanish and I am looking forward to the release of Pig Park later this week. I am sure I will pick up a few other books over the course of the week. I wish you a wonderful week of reading.
Crystal, I absolutely loved Relish. It was a fantastic book that was so different and fun for me. I love to cook, so it combined my two favorite things. I haven't read the others, but I definitely want to try Wild Things. Thank you for sharing these great books!
ReplyDeleteI have already tried one of the recipes and it was delicious. Relish blends two things I love, eating and reading.
DeleteRelish is a one of those books I have been meaning to read. Nana in the city looks too cute. I did not realize there was a third Marty McGuire book. Will need to look for it.
ReplyDeleteYes, Marty has another and it's fun like the others.
DeleteSo many good books on your list! This was not a good reading week for me... hopefully next week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a better week!
DeleteYou are such a voracious reader. I am always impressed. I want to get my hands on Nana in the City and the new Marty McGuire.
ReplyDeleteReading is like breathing so I get through a lot of books. ;)
DeleteWow, lots of good books, Crystal. I love Naomi Leon, but it's been a while. Maybe should re-visit it. Must find Nana In The City-have seen it reviewed well several places. Have a terrific week!
ReplyDeleteNana is a very sweet book. It's also nice for showing city life.
DeleteMe too. I will have to get her earlier book, French Milk, and it looks like she has a travel memoir coming out soon too.
ReplyDeleteWild Things sounds wonderful - looks like my kind of reading material. I have yet to familiarize myself with Pam Munoz Ryan's novels. :)
