We are just about to run off to a graduation ceremony so this will be brief. Some of my celebrations for the week are:
* Our exchange student from South Korea had a great experience and is getting to participate in graduation ceremonies today.
* All but one of my office cabinets are empty and the contents are packed into boxes ready for removal after the final day of school.
* A co-worker and I got to sneak away for 15 minutes yesterday and grab an iced chai before diving back into packing.
* On our walk today, my dog and I met a nice couple and their dog. We shared laughter and smiles.
* I talked to my grandmother today and we had a fun conversation. My 90 year old grandma has a lot of spunk.
* I appreciate that other people's memoirs can bring me to my own memories. I appreciate Lucy Knisley's works because they always lead me to my own past.
Now we are off to celebrate the graduates of 2015!
You are ready for the end of school already? Well done. We have 3 1/2 weeks to go!
ReplyDeleteNot quite ready. We have two weeks of school left. My office is getting close, but we have thousands of books yet to pack & move. Our library is being remodeled. ;)
DeleteEnjoy those last days, Crystal. Hope graduation was lovely. Nice to hear that you still have your grandmother to talk with, just awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Graduation was a treat. I had tears of course, but smiles too. Yes, my grandmother (mom's side) is still very much with us and it's a blessing. My grandfather (dad's side) is even older, but is still very active. We are lucky to have them both.
DeleteI can't believe you have a grandmother that is 90! How very lovely to still have a grandparent in your life! My Mom is 80 and seems 65! Love older women who are full of life!
ReplyDeleteYes. These women are amazing. I want to be like that too. Still appreciating life and loving those around them no matter the age.
DeleteYou are blessed to have your grandma alive. Packing, packing, packing -tough job, but knowing that the library is going to be remodeled makes it positive. I like the mixture of festive graduation, packing, and daily walk with dogs. Celebrating various aspects of life.
