It's Monday! What are you reading?

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It's a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and Jen Vincent, of Teach Mentor Texts decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last few weeks in books:

I was in New York City two weeks ago and then at nErDCampMI and with relatives this past week, so I haven't posted for a few weeks. I am fairly exhausted so am just throwing the picture up there. If you go to my Goodreads account, you can see what I have read recently & click on the books to learn more.
The Coming Week:

I am reading Act 31 by JP Leary and will be reading some other Native lit in preparation for going to The American Indian Studies Institute next week.

  1. Looks like you had some wonderful reading this week, Crystal. I'm going to go to Goodreads to check out what you thought about Wicked Fox! Hope you enjoy Act 31 and that you have a good time at The American Indian Studies Institute!

    1. Wicked Fox was super fun. It was like a k-drama on the page.

  2. That's an incredible list of books you've read while being busy with so much other stuff!
I've just put a hold on Nine Months: Before a Baby Is Born. My son's partner is expecting a new baby in December and this one will be good I think to help him adjust to a new baby sister.

    1. It's a really beautiful book with Shin's art and it shows the baby at actual size each month. It's pretty amazing. It's also told very simply and doesn't sensationalize anything even though it goes into the loss of babies too.
