It's Monday! What are you reading?

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It's a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and Jen Vincent, of Teach Mentor Texts decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

If you want to know more about what I've been reading, visit my Goodreads shelf.

Past Week on the Blog:

I have been reading less lately. I think it again has to do with the volume of Korean dramas I am watching. I just finished up another called Legend of the Blue Sea. It was lovely.

Ding Dong! Gorilla is a funny story that a kid is telling to explain the mess in the house. I actually checked it out because I was listening to music right before I walked into the library and the song that was playing was called 'Ring Ding Dong.' How could I not?

American Panda made me smile over and over. It was a fun weekend read with romance and family issues at the center. Shadowhouse Fall took me a while to get into. I think that was because it had been so long since I had read the first one. After I started to remember more of the original storyline it was excellent. It's contemporary fantasy with a little romance and lots of action. Both of these were on my MustReadin2018 list and I'm glad they were.

The Coming Week: I've startedan ARC of Fire Song. It's a new twist for me. This book is a novel written after the movie. Have a great week.

  1. I watched the closing ceremonies last night, am so out of touch with the music, but loved watching those K-pop acts, so cool! American Panda sounds like one I need to read! Thanks, Crystal!

  3. I just had to re-check Love, Hate & Other Filters as I didn't get to it during my first check out. But I'm looking forward to checking it out very soon. GREAT reading challenges! I like how you include them at the bottom of your posts. Have a great week!

  5. I'm quite amused by how many people are so obsessed with Korean dramas.

    1. I wouldn't have expected it for myself since I don't watch much tv, but they are very entertaining.

  6. I love that you're sharing the Korean drama! Several of my good friends here are crazy over them as well - and my 16 yo daughter is just gaga over Black Pink.
