My teen daughter said it was annoying though. She may not be the best judge as she doesn't like audiobooks as a rule. Odd Duck is pretty fantastic! I liked On a Beam of Light, but picture book bios are tricky. It's hard to fit a lot of info in there. I felt like I barely got the gist of him & wanted a lot more. It is a good gist though.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14662811441487822589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-645170464461303667.post-36003034346370472002013-07-30T11:11:42.209-07:002013-07-30T11:11:42.209-07:00I can't wait to read Alexie's book . . . i...I can't wait to read Alexie's book . . . it's been on my radar forever. Great on audio? It's set very near where I grew up. Odd Duck is fantastic, isn't it? And ON A BEAM OF LIGHT is on the hold list at the library.

LornaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-645170464461303667.post-36303736733543145682013-07-30T07:29:15.791-07:002013-07-30T07:29:15.791-07:00The Sherman Alexie book is really worth the time. ...The Sherman Alexie book is really worth the time. It gets fussed about sometimes because it is a male teen and he discusses something he does while looking at pictures of nice looking women. That is a few sentences in the book and there is so much more to it than that. For one thing it manages to be humorous in the midst of some heartbreaking stuff. Anyway, it's one of my all-time favorite YA books. Not great poetry, but at least funny. I also enjoyed I Could Chew on This, but won't buy it either.Ms. Yinglinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17805324364289597178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-645170464461303667.post-84393125746189030902013-07-29T06:30:49.380-07:002013-07-29T06:30:49.380-07:00This is quite a list.
